Virginia Equine, PLLC serves much of Central VA and beyond. We are an ambulatory practice with five mobile veterinarians on board, with a clinic for haul-in appointments and medical care. We provide after hours emergency services to clients within the service area. Our concentration is in performance horses, wellness, and preventative medicine.

Our dedicated Board of Directors meets once a quarter to get updates and guide new initiatives. Each member represents a unique and diverse worldview but agrees on the central tenet of equine welfare.

Kathleen Bobbio
Founding Director
Kathleen is a lifelong horse person who has enjoyed many different careers with horses including eventing, training, performance, mental health work, and most recently within the equine welfare community. She has worked alongside several of the VA rescue groups in multiple capacities and is inspired daily by their dedication to equines in need.

Allison Bowling
Board Director
Allison is the co-founder and President of Red Feather Equine Sanctuary, dedicated to making the world a kinder place for horses. A NC native and passionate animal advocate, she is the driving force behind Red Feather’s mission. Beyond her work in equine rescue and advocacy, Allison is a Senior Innovation Manager at Smurfit Westrock, a leading global paper and packaging company. She lives in Winston-Salem with her husband, Josh, their family, and the beloved Red Feather herd.

Rebecca Jurista
Board Director
Rebecca is a devoted advocate for equine welfare, rooted in her early experiences riding dressage as a young girl. Over the past eight years she has dedicated herself to horse rescue organizations by working closely with local groups committed to helping equines in need. She lives in Mechanicsville with her husband, three kids, and four pets.

Cameron Perkins
Board Director
Cameron is a lifelong equine lover who has worked with rescues and valued gaining insight from her independent work with numerous equine owners all over our state. Cameron has a special love for donkeys, mules, and seemingly troubled horse. She thrives on collaborative efforts towards equine welfare and works to understand the specific needs of these animals and the people involved.

Zee Ladak
Board Director
Zee joined Capital One in 1999 and currently serves as Business Chief Risk Officer for Capital One’s Enterprise Services. He was born and bred in Leicester, England and moved around the world before coming to VA in 2008. He lives on a farm just outside of the city of Richmond with his wife, two daughters, and a menagerie of horses and pets.
